Just witnessed this massive 51 ton beast, the TYRANNOSAURUS® 9905 shredder, starting its journey from Finland to Thailand. Its new home lies thousands of kilometers away in sunny Rayong where it will be shredding over 200.000 tons of municipal waste per year (represents the amount of waste generated by approximately half a million persons) to solid recovered fuel (SRF). The produced fuel will be used by an integrated power plant with electricity production capacity of 10 MW. The delivery of this massive shredder is a part of a significant project in Thailand being one of the first municipal Waste to electricity projects in this scale. All equipment is shipped to Thailand by the end of this year, installed early 2018 and the system will be operational by the end of April 2018.
